Self Medication To Medication

This week I got a working diagnosis of Bipolar Effective Disorder II and a prescription for Lithium Carbonate (Li2CO3). I'm on an ascending does from 200mg to 800mg and then I have to have a blood test to find my serum lithium level as the effective dose is quite close to the toxic dose. I seem to be tolerating it well, but as it is basically salt I need to go to the loo a lot - which is a bit embarrassing... Still waking up early, eating little, suffering from a lot of physical anxiety symptoms, still writing a lot of songs, still enjoying life.

Yay I missed slipping into depression!

... oh and I got a job, which after 10 months of unemployment is, well damn confusing...
