Bipolar Satanism

Now this might seem like an extreme idea but if you check out Anton Lavey's Satanic Bible you will see that modern Satanism is a self confessed "made up" religion that can be adopted as a faith if you need it or lived as a philosophy. To believe in an actual entity called "Satan" actually makes you a Theistic Satanist with all the dithering, pseudo-philosophy of most religions. At it's heart Satanism means recognising that you are the only thing you can believe in and that you are responsible for all the "good" and "bad" you do - beyond these restrictions you have total freedom, well as much as you can handle. It adopts Lucifer as it's figurehead in honour of the Roman god of enlightenment, challenge and questioning things who strangely became a daemon soon after the creation of the Holy Roman Empire - funny that. If you bother to look into it, you will find that all names of the devil were originally members of earlier co-opted on laterly mono-theisied religions. Basically the Satan bin has become a convient place to dump inconvient deities.

Anyway, being a Satanist requires a lot of emotional strength and effort as it basically means rejecting all the silly, guilt ridden post Christian twaddle that pollutes "secular" society. It may at a glance seem selfish to only think of yourself, but if you think about it, it makes a lot of sense - you can't accurately understand the emotions of others, so live by your own, while being honest about yourself and taking responsibility for your actions. You will either adjust your behaviour when you hurt those you care for or not because you are basically a bastard.

Once you get to grips with that, stop all your emotional wranglings and live your life to it's fullest. I find that hyomania has given me the time and the power to process all this. For me it was either that or go mad worrying about what everybody else wanted from me and how they would be affected by my actions.

QED Bipolar Satanism...

... it's just a theory, just like everything else...
